Contract of Employment
Zero-Hours Employment Contract

This contract is between:

Employer: Northerly Hill Facilities Management Ltd
Registered Office: Cardiff
(“the Employer”)

Employee: Jamie Morrison
(“the Employee”)

Clause 1 — Commencement of Employment

1.1 Your employment began on 3 March 2022.

1.2 No previous employment counts toward your period of continuous employment.

Clause 2 — Job Title and Duties

2.1 You are employed as a Cleaning Operative.

2.2 Your normal place of work is various client sites as directed by the Employer within a 30-mile radius of Cardiff.

2.3 The Employer reserves the right to require you to perform other duties as reasonably required.

Clause 3 — Hours of Work

3.1 This is a zero-hours contract. The Employer is under no obligation to provide you with any minimum number of hours of work.

3.2 You are under no obligation to accept any work offered.

3.3 Hours will be communicated to you at least 24 hours in advance where reasonably practicable.

Clause 4 — Pay

4.1 You will be paid at a rate of £11.44 per hour.

4.2 Payment is made weekly in arrears by bank transfer.

4.3 The Employer reserves the right to make deductions from your pay as permitted by law.

Clause 5 — Annual Leave

5.1 You are entitled to 5.6 weeks’ paid annual leave per leave year (pro-rata based on hours worked).

Clause 6 — Absence and Sickness

6.1 If you are unable to attend work, you must notify your line manager before the start of your shift.

6.2 Statutory Sick Pay will be payable in accordance with the prevailing legislation.

Clause 7 — Holiday Pay

7.1 Holiday pay will be calculated at basic rate of pay.

Clause 8 — Pension

[No clause present]

Clause 9 — Flexible Working

9.1 After 26 weeks of continuous employment, you may make a written request for flexible working arrangements in accordance with current legislation.

Clause 10 — Confidentiality

10.1 During and after your employment, you must not disclose any confidential information relating to the business of the Employer or its clients.

Clause 11 — Termination

11.1 Either party may terminate this contract by giving one week’s written notice.

11.2 The Employer reserves the right to terminate without notice in cases of gross misconduct.

11.3 One week’s notice applies regardless of length of service.

Clause 12 — Governing Law

12.1 This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
